11. What most surprised you?
Personally it didn´t surprise me because I already knew for a long time before their culture and education. With regards to my profesional experience, mine was very unique durng the period of hurricanes when we had to shut the hotel during a meteorological alert and then re-open it. It was a big procedure, regarding moving the guests to other hotels, closing supplies and operational systems in the whole property and then opening them all again, starting a working day from anew with a lot of work to make everything work again. It is an impressive operation which we organise 4 months before the hurricane period, in weekly meetings with the management and directors, one of the things we talked about was the working procedures in the event of a meteorological alert to evacuate the hotel.
