Description
Work & Travel Germany is a cultural exchange program that offers you the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience by immersing yourself in a new culture and broadening your personal and professional horizons. During your stay, you will improve your German or English skills while adapting to a challenging and enriching environment.
Program duration: 2 to 3 months
Departure date: November or December
The most common work areas include: logistics, cleaning, gastronomy, hospitality, among others.

Requirements
- Be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Be a regular student at an official tertiary or university institution, enrolled throughout the academic year. Courses can be in-person, hybrid, or online. Final-year students are not eligible.
- Be flexible with job location and type of work in Germany.
- Have an intermediate level of German or English.
- Be willing to work overtime if needed.
- Be available for at least 3 months to participate in the program.
- Have no criminal record.
What this visa allows
The Work & Travel Germany program allows you to improve your German or English, expand your vocabulary, and gain international work experience. The visa includes multiple entries, meaning you can enter and exit the country during your stay. You’ll also develop your independence while living away from your usual environment, sharing experiences with international students, and discovering new cultures.
Application process
- Information session: Free, with one of our advisors.
- Enrollment + English interview: We will assess your language level.
- Document preparation: We’ll compile and prepare your application file.
- English interview with Germany: You’ll be evaluated by our partners in Germany.
- Work permit + final payment: We’ll apply for your work permit and you’ll complete the final payment.
- Job offer: Your employer will issue your formal job offer.
- Accommodation: We will help coordinate your housing.
- Travel: You’ll be ready to travel and begin working!
Additional info: Students holding a European passport do not need to apply for a work permit.
Medical insurance and flights
Medical insurance is included in the program and covers accidents and illnesses.
