-We would like to know how you are and how you feel, as a participant in the Work & Travel USA program.
Well, well, quite well. It was very nice, the truth is that the experience was great. Right in this area we had the season a little low this year. It is a job that is highly dependent on the weather. English improved, as I was teaching all day in English with children, people came from all over.
-What is the experience for you?
More than anything for the curriculum it adds up a lot, apart we had a lot of cultural exchange. All in all it was great. I met people from Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Malaysia.
- Is work as you imagined?
Yes, it was good. It is good to teach, apart from the experience.
I injured myself, broke my wrist and sprained a tendon, I was without activity for a month, so I couldn't make much money either. But we try to find something for what I do, in The Office, but it is less hours per day. It was a work accident and the insurance collected the operation here.
-How is the work environment? How is the relationship with other coworkers?
Well, the co-workers are very good, they are good people, if we needed something or to go somewhere helping us.
-What are the best things about your job? And the worst?
The best the fact of having the opportunity to ski, and we did not have to pay a dime, the people, the events like barbecues and meals.
The worst, the payment, which was only for the hours you taught. As we did not have an interview, we did not know that detail, which then.
-What do you do on your days off?
We traveled, we went to Boston, to Philadelphia, and at first rest, since we skied 6-7 hours a day.
-Were you able to visit other places?
Yes, Boston, Philadelphia, New Jersey and soon we will go to NYC.
-What surprised you the most?
I was amazed at how much I loved skiing. I learned here, I came on December 9th and on the 14th I was already skiing up the mountain. The instructors are super professionals. At the touch we started to work, and my experience was very good.
-What would you recommend to someone who would like to follow in your footsteps?
First I would tell you to look at what work you would like to do. For example if you go to a mountain I would go further north so there is more snow. Or if it is a hotel, a hotel that has clients and so on.
