Learn how the program works, what opportunities it offers and how to prepare for your European adventure.

A paid job during your break

Work & Travel Germany lets you live and work in Germany during your academic break: a temporary paid job in euros, lasting 85 to 90 days, to get to know the culture, gain international experience and improve your language skills. You travel in November, for the training ahead of the holiday season.

Where you work and what you do

There are opportunities in different cities, from Hamburg to Munich, at amusement parks, in logistics, factories, hotels and airports. Positions include waiter, kitchen assistant, salesperson, logistics operator, packing and food processing. It's physical work: 8 hours a day on your feet, walking and lifting.

How much you earn and where you live

There is a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours a week; pay and payment conditions are detailed in the job offer. The employer usually offers accommodation, and its cost is deducted from your pay. You always travel with health insurance during the program, and you can share the experience with friends.

What you need to apply

You must be between 18 and 30 years old, be a regular university or college student, not in your final year, and your university must be listed in the German ANABIN database as H+. We require A2 English or German for factories and logistics, and B1 for airports. Book an info session and we'll review your profile and dates together.
