Requirements
• Have at least two years of teaching experience.
• Be a university or tertiary graduate of the initial, primary or secondary teaching careers
• Be working as a teacher in your country at the time of applying to the program
• Good character and reputation (background check required)
• Demonstrate proficiency in the English language (an interview will be conducted in English for qualified candidates)
• Preferably be an English teacher.
Description
Teacher Program offers experienced, international teachers the opportunity to gain international professional experience and participate in cross-cultural activities in the USA through a teaching position in their area of expertise. Cultural exchange is the central element of Teacher Program. Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside and interact with U.S. citizens on a daily basis. Beyond day-to-day interaction, they will have opportunities to engage in formal cultural activities in and outside of the classroom to ensure that they have a well-rounded experience in the USA.
Salary is estimated for a teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience. Salary ranges will be dependent on teacher’s level of education and experience. Positions are not guaranteed until final offer issued by Host School and full aparticipant application acceptance.
