Kitchen Helper:
Kitchen Helpers are responsible for washing and re-shelving dishware and glassware, emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down food service tables, cleaning appliances, chopping vegetables, and assisting the cook. The kitchen area at times may have high humidity and temperatures.


The Inn is situated on the shores of Big Moose Lake one of the largest and most beautiful of the Adirondack park's 2,800 natural lakes. Approximately 5 miles in length and spanning almost 1-1/2 miles at its widest point, Big Moose Lake's 80 miles of shoreline encompass countless recreational activities. The local area offers over 500 miles of winter sports trails. The town of Old Forge offers snowmobile trails, downhill ski mountain, ice fishing and countless other outdoor activities to help you enjoy the beauty of the Adirondack park.

There are a variety of staff outings throughout the summer that the students are welcome to attend.


There is a shared dormitory style housing on premises. The housing offers coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave, crock pot and private bathroom. We include one hot meal per shift worked. All other meals are the responsibility of the student. There are no laundry facilities on site. Wifi is available and included. **The Big Moose Inn is located in the rural Adirondack Mountains. This is a quiet and private setting, so be sure to research the area in advance. There is plenty of outdoor activities available nearby. There is no pubic transportation available, so your employers and American coworkers will offer personal transportation when available.
