Good news for J1 Visa applicants!

The State Department temporarily suspended exchange programs during the pandemic, to protect jobs in the pandemic. For this reason, visa services for Bridge USA J1 programs, including Summer Work & Travel, Camp Counselor, Intern, Trainee and Au Pair, were suspended since June 2020, ending on December 31, 2020. This suspension was extended once until March 31, 2021.

The good news is that this temporary suspension is no longer in effect and was not extended by current President Joe Biden. This means that the US embassies and consulates are gradually resuming consular services for North Americans, applications for immigration visas and applications for exchange visas. To the extent that the local situation related to the pandemic allows, they will resume regular visa services.

We continue to work together with Visa Sponsors to immediately increase the availability of visa appointments. We are preparing so that you can safely experience the United States in 2021 while remaining committed as always to our mission and goals through cultural exchanges!
